Meet Heather of Diapered Daze & Knights.

Tell us a little bit about yourself.
I am the mom of two toddler boys (ages 1 and 3) and a really strange pug named Olive. My husband and I met in grad school at the University of Maryland (Go Terps!) and moved to Chester County for work after earning our doctorates in Curriculum and Instruction. I am a professor at a local college and love the positive energy my students bring to the campus. My oldest son (3) has already decided he wants to be a “fessor”, too someday, though I think his interest has something to with the (toddler-dubbed) “taco bus” that sits outside my building and sells hot tacos at lunchtime.
What is your blog about?
My blog is a hodgepodge of all the things I love – spending time with my family, crafting, reading, teaching, and attempting to do things myself.
Is there a story behind your blog name?
“Diapered Daze and Knights” has dual meaning: My days and nights are spent enjoying time with my diapered toddlers, but I often feel as though I am in a “daze” from the energy required to keep my little “knights” entertained! We don’t get many hours of sleep around this house – yet, I am hopeful that someday we will be a bit less dazed and diaper-free. Until then…
What is your favorite social network and why?
Pinterest! I get so inspired by others ideas – and it has allowed me to clear out some of my clutter! Follow me there.
What is your biggest claim to fame?
I have written several articles/chapters on literacy that are published in obscure academic journals that you will probably never come across unless you go looking for them.
When you were a little girl, what did you want to be when you grew up?
According to my fifth-grade yearbook, I wanted to be an archeologist or a children’s book author. I have no interest in digging up dinosaur bones anymore, but I would still like to publish a children’s book!
What is your favorite blog or blogger that is not your own, and why?
The Heir to Blair. She’s “real”, honest, and funny – everything I want from a parenting blog.
What is your favorite indulgence?
A good book and a hammock – preferably somewhere tropical.
Be sure to follow Heather on Facebook and Twitter, and visit her at Diapered Daze & Knights.

I love that your son would like to be a professor just like you. I can totally see how the Taco Bus would be a draw! ; )
Blushing down to my toes. THANK YOU!
