Paige Wolf

Tell us a little bit about yourself.

I am a publicist, author, green living expert, and blogger who promotes manageable eco-chic living. After working as a journalist, publicist, and communications manager, I founded Paige Wolf Media & Public Relations in 2002. In 2010, I published my first book, Spit That Out! The Overly Informed Parent’s Guide to Raising Children in the Age of Environmental Guilt, which received national acclaim from People.com, Pregnancy & Newborn Magazine, The Huffington Post, Daily Candy, and more.

I’m originally from the Philly burbs but have lived in Center City since graduating college. I have an almost-3-year-old son and an American Hairless Terrier.

What is your blog/business about?

Paige Wolf Media & Public Relations offers communications services to clients who contribute to a sustainable world and positive change. The firm is the first and only certified B Corporation public relations company in the Philadelphia area, meeting comprehensive and transparent social and environmental standards.

My book and blog offer ways for overwhelmed parents (and all people) to make green living more manageable, practical, and affordable.

Is there a story behind your blog name?

The book title just came to me – and it’s been a great selling point! :)

Who or what inspires you?

Anyone who speaks up to make a difference. “No one can do everything but everyone can do something” – healthy child, healthy world.

What is your favorite social network and why?

Facebook for friends and Twitter for business.

When you were a little girl, what did you want to be when you grew up?

A singer/songwriter.

What would be your dream brand to work with?

Anything passionately green that promotes social change!

What is your favorite blog or blogger that is not your own, and why?

That’s tough – I belong to an amazing network of green bloggers across the country and I refuse to pick one!

What other sites do you work with or contribute to?

I’ve co-chaired The Career Wardrobe’s annual “A Perfect Fit” premiere fundraiser for the past seven years. I’ve been involved with the planning, execution, and publicity of community events, including Manayunk Eco-Arts Festival, GreenFest Philly, With Love Super Adoption Day, and Sustainable Business Network’s Sustainaball. I serve on the advisory committee of The Career Wardrobe, and I’m a member of The Philadelphia Public Relations Association, Greater Philadelphia Sustainable Business Network, and Women’s Way’s Young Women’s Initiative.

My awards include the Philadelphia Public Relations Association’s Fast Track Award. I’m one of Earth911.com’s “Five Moms Who Made a Difference” and one of Circle of Mom’s “Top 25 Eco-Friendly Moms.” I’m also proud to be a Parent Ambassador for Healthy Child, Healthy World.

Be sure to follow Paige on Facebook and Twitter, and visit her at Spit That Out! and Paige Wolf Media & Public Relations.
