Meet Erin Jay of Mastering the Mommy Track.

We asked Erin some questions, and here is what she has to say!
Tell us a little bit about yourself.
I come from Bergen County, NJ. Lived in Manhattan for ten years before moving to Philadelphia. I have two girls ages 4 and 2. We love Philadelphia!
What is your blog about?
I address struggles working moms face and solutions to overcome them.
Is there a story behind your blog name?
Yes, Mastering the Mommy Track is the title of my forthcoming book due out Oct. 26 – Mastering the Mommy Track: Juggling Career and Kids in Uncertain Times (ISBN 978-1780991238, 2012, John Hunt Publishing, 206 pages, $19.95, available on http://amzn.to/PWThUb).
Who or what inspires you?
Oprah has been a huge inspiration. I started watching her show in high school. I’ve subscribed to her magazine over the years. She is an amazing businesswoman.
What is your favorite social network and why?
Facebook. It has brought me back in touch with friends from childhood, high school and college.
What is your biggest claim to fame?
My non-fiction book Mastering the Mommy Track: Juggling Career and Kids in Uncertain Times. I’ve spent over ten years promoting authors, so very excited to have the opportunity to promote my own book.
When you were a little girl, what did you want to be when you grew up?
A newspaper reporter. I fell in love with words at an early age.
What subject would you like to blog about but won’t?
Investigative pieces. Would not want to put myself in harm’s way, though.
What would be your dream brand to work with?
Target would be cool.
What is your favorite blog or blogger that is not your own?
What is your favorite indulgence?
Getting a back massage or my nails done.
Be sure to follow Erin on Facebook and Twitter, and visit her at Mastering the Mommy Track.
