Linda Arceo

We asked Linda some questions, and here is what she has to say!

Tell us a little bit about yourself.

I live in southern New Jersey and have been a Jersey girl my entire life. I am about to celebrate my 12 year wedding anniversary and I have two boys, ages 5 and 3 (they actually share the same birthday!). By day I work as a fundraiser for a local health system. I have a B.A. in Psychology and a M.A. in Writing. I love to travel, know song lyrics to nearly every song imaginable and own way too many shoes.

What is your blog about?

Giggles, Gobbles and Gulps™ (GGG) is a quirky little blog about all things important – kids, family, food, beer, music, my yorkies, holidays and random thoughts for women everywhere. GGG was started in September 2012 as a way to share the many recipes, ideas and everyday celebrations that help bond families together, encourage friendships and create lasting memories.

Consider it your go-to Food and Drink blog which just so happens to throw in a dash of life.

Is there a story behind your blog name?

I starting thinking seriously about blogging after winning the 2012 Woman’s Day Magazine National Chili Contest for Best Beef Chili. I wanted an outlet to share my recipes and creations. I am horrible about writing my recipes down, but wanted a way to preserve them, so I thought the idea of a blog would get me in the habit of writing down my recipes. I also wanted an outlet to share things that are important to be and start to create an on-line presence for my writing.

Who or what inspires you?

I try to find inspiration in the smallest things.

One of my most favorite authors is Sarah Ban Breathnach and her book Simple Abundance. Sarah talks about finding pleasure in the mundane, cherishing simple moments and having gratitude everyday. I have been working towards a life of gratitude for almost 20 years now and I still have a long way to go. I am so blessed and I try to remind myself of that everyday.

I am also so inspired by my children and my husband. They are the reason I try to be a better person and push myself to keep pursuing my dreams.

What is your favorite social network and why?

Pinterest for sure! I am so visual, the photos speak to me in so many ways.

What is your biggest claim to fame?

I am the 2012 Woman’s Day Magazine National Chili Contest Winner for Best Beef Chili.

When you were a little girl, what did you want to be when you grew up?

One of the first gifts I remember getting and really loving was a typewriter at the age of 8. I always knew I wanted to write in some capacity.

What subject would you like to blog about but won’t?

The truth about relationships and sex post marriage and kids.

What would be your dream brand to work with?

I would love to do something with Apple and their amazing catalogue of products. I find them so incredibly innovative and am amazed by how they have revolutionized the way people communicate.

What is your favorite blog or blogger that is not your own, and why?

Sunshine and Sippy Cups

What is your favorite indulgence?

Undoubtedly, craft beers. I am definitely a beer chick. I love perusing the store’s shelves to find the best beer and prove to the guys there is a place for women in the beer industry. I also love shoes, I’m not gonna lie.

  1. Linda is very talented in the kitchen and I often find myself with “lunch envy”. She knows how to add pizzazz to the simplest dishes.
