We asked Janeane some questions, and here is what she has to say!

Tell us a little bit about yourself.

I am a Christian wife and mother of four children. My favorite sound is the sound of my children all laughing together. My favorite smell is my husband in a clean cotton shirt. I love to read, knit and travel. I blog because I want to inspire people to be greater, to achieve what they dream. As a lawyer I worked to help clients achieve fair treatment and justice, not just to win in order to support my own ego. As a business consultant, I help my clients stay in business, prosper and provide jobs for more people. As the executive editor of a group blog I seek to educate, empower and support writers.

What is your blog/business about?

I own a consulting business, James, Davis and Associates. I created my blog in part to provide a library of stories, advice and resources for my clients. The blog is nice because when clients need advice outside of work hours or cannot afford for my one on one time, there is a resource available. In my business I help clients to start businesses, develop systems to make operations steady, organized and profitable and I help clients to grow and develop their businesses in a well thought out, organized way.

Is there a story behind your blog/business name?

My blog is called Janeane’s World because I created it and wanted to always remember that it was something I was creating and that it was a place where I was free to explore concepts and ideas that were interesting to me. The blog was created as an offshoot of my consulting business.

Who or what inspires you?

I am inspired by my husband who for 23 years has made each of my dreams his and has always encouraged me to go for whatever I wanted. I have always felt loved and supported in my marriage and that encouraged me to offer love, support and encouragement to those I encounter.

I am also inspired by my children who look at me in amazement and are so impressed by the smallest and silliest things I do.

What is your favorite social network and why?

Facebook is my favorite social network because it enabled me to meet good people, develop great relationships and explore new avenues.

What is your biggest claim to fame?

My biggest claim to fame is that I am a wife of 23 years who still loves her husband like on the honeymoon and I am mother of four wonderful children who make me smile with joy each day.

When you were a little girl, what did you want to be when you grew up?

When I was a little girl I wanted to be a wife, mother and a lawyer. I achieved all those things.

What subject would you like to blog about but won’t?

I blog about whatever I want, that is why I named it “Janeane’s World” so I would have that freedom.

What would be your dream brand to work with?

I would love to work with Johnson and Johnson because I use so many of their products.

What is your favorite blog or blogger that is not your own, and why?

May favorite blog that is not my own is Mama Knows It All because I enjoy her folksy way of speaking and the photos of her daughter in action.

What is your favorite indulgence?

My favorite indulgence is merino wool yarn for knitting.
