Meet Donna Picciocchi of Bella Perfectionista.

Donna

We asked Donna some questions, and here is what she has to say!

Tell us a little bit about yourself.

I’m a wife, mother, and founder of my company BellaLu Communications and my style blog Bella Perfectionista. Doing my best to make it all work! I started my blog because I realized that in my every day life I was working on blogs for my communication clients—why was I not blogging myself?! I am a fashion addict (to the point that I have been taking sewing classes now for over a year) so a blog that focused on fashion and style was the perfect fit for me. In my spare time, I love to cook, read, write, craft, bake, shop, sew and enjoy quality quiet me-time (it comes few and far between).

What is your blog about?

The purpose of my blog is not about being perfect at Bella Perfectionista, it is to inspire and strive to give real-life suggestions and ideas to everyday divas to define their own perfect style. Our mission to contribute to overall beauty inside and out. I want to give my readers stress-free ideas for style that hopefully encourages them to be their own most beautiful person and create their style through concepts I present. My blog’s main feature is fashion, but I call it a style blog because I post on beauty, food, health & fitness and life!

Is there a story behind your blog name?

The story behind my blog name is my Daughter’s name is Bella and my husband would joke with me and call me perfectionista, because I am quite a type A personality. The two came together and just sounded like a style blog name.

Who or what inspires you?

I don’t think just one person inspires me because so many people and things do. Each day it I find different inspiration from so many places and I welcome it. From nature, to a friendly stranger, kindness shown, family and friends and business women like those in PSMMs that have so much talent. Each day is a gift to open.

What is your favorite social network and why?

Facebook because so many people use it.

What is your biggest claim to fame?

At the moment I can’t think of anything current. I must get working on it then!

When you were a little girl, what did you want to be when you grew up?

Fashion Designer first, a ballerina and then later a dermatologist….I finally settled on communication and writing. Wow, all of them are worlds apart!

What subject would you like to blog about but won’t?

Food (healthy eating and organic blogs). I will post a recipes on my blog, but I find that people can get very touchy over healthy eating blogs. I will happily read and not write about those topics!

What would be your dream brand to work with?

Any fashion designer line or work directly with some of my favorite stores.

What is your favorite blog or blogger that is not your own, and why?

I really like 100 Days of Real Food. It has been a huge help in getting my family to eat cleaner and she has great ideas on packed school lunches for kids. There are many blogs I like, too many to name but I use this as a resource daily.

What is your favorite indulgence?

Dark chocolate caramel with sea salt. Yum!
