Organics Live: Franchise Opportunity & Organic Grocery Delivery

Organics Live: Franchise Opportunity & Organic Grocery Delivery

People are becoming more mindful of how they eat, and buying habits are rapidly changing. Did you know that sales of organic products in the United States jumped to 35.1 billion in 2013, up 11.5% from the previous yearís 31.5 billion?? That’s right, 81% of U.S. families now choose organic food at least part of the time.

There’s no doubt that†people are seeking out organic options more and more, however, many still feel that buying†organic is†inconvenient and/or too expensive for their family budget.

That is why a group of dads in Canada got together and founded†Organics Live, a company that†delivers certified organic, sustainably produced, and locally focused food and groceries†for less than the cost of shopping retail.

about-organics-live

Until recently, they have only existed in Canada, but now†Organics Live is expanding to†the U.S., and they are partnering with local bloggers†to spread the word. Organics Live is†looking for franchise partners in the†Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware areas. If you’ve ever been interested in being in business for yourself, if you are passionate about health and wellness, or if you’re looking for a way to generate income from home, this might be a great opportunity for you.

Join a rapidly growing company founded by concerned dads with a shared belief that strong, prosperous communities can be fueled by good clean food.

ďAt Organics Live, everything we deliver is sustainably produced with a heavy focus on supporting local growers and producers. We run a carbon neutral operation, offsetting all parts of the businesses, from field to plate. Our boxes are “best-of-season”, meaning that we source the freshest, highest quality fruits and vegetables available at any given time and deliver to homes and businesses weekly. Our mission is to build sustainable local food systems by providing our franchisees the support they need to move sustainably produced goods and services from makers to consumers with as little waste as possible.Ē

Corporate makes it easy.

No inventory, warehouse space, or product management. No receivables, billing, or collection. No sourcing, buying, receiving, packing, or deliveries. Corporate even provides your website, I.T., sales hotline, and marketing materials.

Not the usual franchise start-up costs.

Territory ownership of households and businesses, full franchise status with resale rights, no royalties, and no brick and mortar required means your investment is 1/10 of a typical franchise operation start-up cost.

Free Driving Practice Tests at Driving-Tests.org

Free Driving Practice Tests at Driving-Tests.org

This post is brought to you by Driving-Tests.org.

As a mom of a 14-year-old son, I am aware that the next big parenting hurdle I have to cross is likely to be teaching him how to drive. Perhaps second only to potty training, teaching my child to drive is about the most intimidating parenting task I can imagine. I know it’s going to test my patience and the limits of our relationship. I can only hope that we both emerge from this experience unscathed!

In addition to actually learning how to operate a moving vehicle, he will have to learn the information needed to pass the written test so I was delighted to learn about a site that will help him practice for his DMV driving test —¬†Driving-Tests.org¬†by Elegant E-Learning.

Driving Tests

Elegant E-Learning specializes in helping learner drivers across the United States and around the world. Years of knowledge and experience in driver education have been transformed into an online resource library by a team of e-learning experts, resulting in the development of engaging and effective practice tests that are much more interactive and engaging than the standard issue Driver’s Manual. The Elegant E-Learning team prides themselves in being with their users every step of the way Рfrom helping them to get ready and pass their written permit test at the DMV to guiding them through best practices on the road to make sure they are safe on the road.

Did you know that 72% of people fail their DMV driving test the first time? At Driving-Tests.org,¬†your child can practice sample permit tests for free as many times as they need – until they’re ready to take the real DMV test!

How does it work?

When you click on the Let’s Start button, you will be prompted to choose the state in which you live. Then you will want to select a practice test from the list. You will also note that they have Motorcycle Practice Tests as well as Car Practice Tests.

Practice Test

Just for fun, I selected PA Permit Practice Test 1. I like how you get immediate feedback with the bar on the left.

If you get an answer wrong, it corrects you right away so you can tuck away that information for future reference.

wrong answer

At the end, you get your score.

FAIL

Well, that’s embarrassing! It looks like I could use some brushing up on the rules of the road!

And this Focus On the Road Infographic is quite interesting.

In a nutshell, I’m impressed with Driving-Tests.org. Having this resource should go a long way towards giving kids the confidence they need to ace their driving test, hopefully the first time.

March of Dimes: Working Together for Stronger, Healthier Babies

March of Dimes: Working Together for Stronger, Healthier Babies

We were pleased to have the March of Dimes sponsor our most recent PSMM Workshop. March of Dimes began as the “National Foundation for Infantile Paralysis,” under President Franklin D. Roosevelt. The main focus was to tackle the polio epidemic, a cause near to President Roosevelt’s own life. With research, the National Foundation for Infantile Paralysis created the vaccine that ended the spread of polio.

Thankfully, the mission of (the presently-named) March of Dimes has not stopped there! Upon launching the polio vaccination, March of Dimes continued the fight for healthy babies and children. In the years since it’s inception, they have worked tirelessly to help mothers have healthier pregnancies as well as preventing birth defects and premature births.¬†Over 4 million babies were born last year and¬†March¬†of¬†Dimes¬†touched each one of them through research, education, vaccines and medical breakthroughs.

We look forward to a new campaign March¬†of¬†Dimes¬†is launching called imbornto. “I’m born to run, I’m born to dance, I’m born to teach.” This campaign will tap into¬†collective and individual hopes, dreams and aspirations.¬†Every baby is born for something great and no matter what you were born to do,¬†March¬†of¬†Dimes¬†helped you get there.

A very important milestone is on the horizon for 2013, the 75th Anniversary of March of Dimes. Few actually achieve this birthday, corporate or nonprofit. March of Dimes will be taking this opportunity to reflect on our accomplishments and educate the public about how the organization has truly changed the fabric of families, babies and the nation.

To find out more about he Southeastern PA chapter of March of Dimes, you can visit their website or reach out to them on Twitter  and Facebook.

Doc Bresler’s Cavity Buster’s Education Program

Doc Bresler’s Cavity Buster’s Education Program

We are so pleased to introduce to you our September PSMM Workshop sponsor, Doc Bresler’s Cavity Busters! Doc Bresler’s is a pediatric dentist serving infants, children and teens¬†at their offices¬†in Jenkintown, Dresher, Newtown Square and Philadelphia (Roxborough, South Philly, Upper Northeast and Lower Northeast).

With this motto,¬†“We are raising a whole generation of children who can look forward to going to the dentist!”you know this has to be a different sort of dentist. At Doc Bresler’s, they go out of their way to make children feel comfortable. They encourage parents to allow the children to experience the dental visit on their own, and their staff is committed to making the experience¬†enjoyable and positive. You can surely hear sighs of relief from parents everywhere!!

But what we’re really excited about sharing is their Children’s Dental Education and Community Outreach Program. This program is totally free, it is¬†a self-funded program by¬†DocBresler‚Äôs Cavity Busters. They are taking this program into schools and daycares and children’s camp all throughout our area!

The purpose is to empower children, parents and teachers to keep good dental health by providing brushing and flossing¬†instruction along with¬†diet and nutrition¬†tips¬†in a 25-minute fast paced session. Every child takes home a goodie bag with a toothbrush, activity book and education materials for the parents. If you’re interested in finding out more about this program, you can call them at 215-464-2411 x18.
